Good Afternoon Banterbury Participants!
I hope you’re enjoying the summer! I’m just announcing the Banterbury FA Cup will be ran next season! Here is a lowdown of who and at what stage each of the leagues will join the cup! Previously known as the Reeva-Grace Cup. This is a competition where much like the actual FA Cup, EVERY TEAM QUALIFIES!
The cup will begin in GW5, and each round will be in alternate weeks ending in GW19 on Boxing Day! How’s that for a Christmas present for the winner! The first round will compromise of everyone up to and including the Conference (and the @BanterburyH2H ghost team). Those 58 teams will be drawn (after GW4) at random against eachother to play H2H in GW5 leaving 29 behind. If there is a tie in the number of points, the most goals scored that GW, then least goals conceded, then the Highest Ranked team at the end of the current GW will qualify.
There will be a rest GW6, then back into action in GW7 where teams from League 2, League 1 and the Championship will join the 29 winning teams, plus the 4 highest Round 1 losers making up the 90 teams!
Back to a rest GW8, and GW9 sees Round 3 and the Premier League teams joining the competition, along with the other 45 winning teams that brings the total to 64 teams.
After this in alternating weeks the 64 remaining teams will be whittled down to just 2 where the final will take place on Boxing Day in GW19.
The best way to explain who joins the cup at the different stages is shown in the image below…
Good luck to everyone in the Fantasy Premier League 19/20 season. Let’s see plenty of triple figure scores!
Thanks for reading now back to tinkering those squads!
Cheers @StuLord
