We now have a new format in place after listening to managers of teams in the qualification leagues.
To make it fairer to all and give everyone a good fighting chance of gaining promotion to the Banterbury main leagues we are scrapping the 4 qualification leagues and going for one unlimited size league where all can enter.
Banterbury leagues are well established and now coming into their 6th year.
With time the quality has risen and what we now have is a 4 tier league system which has attracted the best managers out there.
Besides the 4 divisions of Banterbury which consist of Premier League, Championship, League 1 and League 2 we also have our cup competitions.
The Help For Heroes Banterbury Cup ( the equivalent of the FA Cup runs from early season right through to the final in week 35 ) and we welcome people to donate to this charity, we have a just giving page, and have raise hundreds of pounds for this charity over the years
The blue ribband event is the Banterbury Champions League.
As run in the same format as the UEFA Champions league with top managers going H2H in a 4 team group stage which is followed by the Quarter Finals, Semi Finals and the final which takes place in week 38
The Europa League
Like the Champions League this competition begins after Xmas
It is for the teams who just miss out on the top places at Xmas to gain entry into the Champions league similar to our own Premier League.
And as we do not want to distance our self’s for the Qualification Leagues, you all still have a chance to compete in these competitions this is how
How the qualification league works?
The top 40 in the qualification league after the end of week 4 will gain entry into the Banterbury Cup first round.
The top 8 in the qualification leagues at Xmas gain entry into the blue ribband competition the Champions league.
Positions 9-20 gain entry into the Europa League competition at Xmas.
The top 16 in the qualification league at end of week 32 go into 4 groups of 4 teams
The winner of each group is promoted into the Banterbury leagues
Each team will play each other twice in the groups to determine the winner of each group.
